“Let me get my…”

If the customer service rep or clerk says “let me get my manager” they have already lost the customer. 

The story starts “he or she had to get the manager…”.

No matter what area of the company you work in, you should be able to satisfy that customer or direct them to whatever it is they are looking for. 

Of course if they ask for mangement, you’re doing a fine job.
