People say “don’t work your life away.” Okay, I’ll just sit on my ass and expect America to take care of me. You can’t put it off forever. The sacrifices have to be made right now. Eventually we get older and things slow down, so it is ideal to build up a fortune and fortress that can protect you and your loved ones.

Simply put, set aside what you know you will one day need. Create an entire plan and system that will allow you to stay calm and live on while others are struggling because they only thought about what made them feel good in the moment. Stay ready and keep building, because things can go left at any moment.

As we approach new beginnings.

As the new year approaches, make sure you make it a point to change the way you do things. Even if it’s a slight change. Change is uncomfortable, and being uncomfortable causes growth. Growth is  a part evolution.

Be more mindful during the new year. Don’t forget to celebrate a few of your wins along the way. All work no play is never a good idea.

Too much work, not enough play.

Society’s problem is not that we don’t want to operate at our most optimum levels. It’s not that we don’t want to be healthy.

It’s society’s constant definition of hard work and success. Success is often seen as something you have to lose tons of sleep over, while guzzling caffinated drinks, going days, months, and even years without a vacation.

The school system is just as bad. College doesn’t work around peoplems schedules. It’s the complete opposite. They expect high gpa’s and for you to have enough money left after bills to pay for books and tuition. Not to mention, homework.

We live in a work-horse society.

We need peace. We need rest. We need to be still.

The issue is, it’s been so ingraved in us to become workaholics in order to keep up that going any other route seems too slow, or like we’re going backwards.

Sad but true.

Where you are? Or Great?

You have a choice to make everyday when you wake up. The choice is to be exactly what you are now or to become great.

Why do most people stay where they are? Because greatness takes time. Because greatness is a responsibility that is put on your shoulders once you decide to take that route. It’s all on you when you make the switch.

Most people don’t like that responsibility of being in complete control of what happens to them. They want a safety net. A way out every time just in case is the game they like to play.

Guess what? You still have to play the great game if you decide to stay where you are in life. The difference is you don’t reap any rewards at the mediocre level.

Just go!

Start! Run, jump, play, scream, laugh, dance. Accomplish what you say you will. Don’t lie about it. Honesty is always the winner. Stay up late. Wake up early and in between that time do as much of what you love to do as you possibly can.

Spike the ball and move on to the next idea. Don’t stop working until you make something happen.

Be! Do!

Stop running your mouth.
