Fail-ology.

Failure is a great way to improve. Every time you fail, you have to figure out where you went wrong. Learning from failure is the best part. When everything is always going right, you’re not as sharp. You can easily miss steps, or wind up taking too much risk, without realizing, if all you ever do is succeed. Don’t let failure take you out of the game. It’s actually a great way to learn.

One of two options.

You can choose to let defeat and failure define you, or you can adjust your attitude and actions towards getting past the challenges you face. You just can’t do both which seems to be what causes more people than most to ultimately fail. in layman’s terms, stop complaining and just give up or stop bitching and keep working.

Fail fast, and strategically.

Wait a second. You mean to tell me, I can go out into the world, fail my ass off, and eventually I’ll either succeed and exceed my expectations or be forgotten about by society? Wow! What a sweet deal! There really are no excuses for putting yourself in a better position especially if you have your whits about you, and know how to execute your plan.

Being too caught up in how people will perceive you, is what makes you freeze up or it causes you to put on extra for the audience. Get the hell out of your own way, and fail faster and more often than everyone around you, and watch how much progress you make towards the life you’ve always wanted.

You got you.

Regardless of the situation, you have to be your biggest supporter. If you simply wait around for applause, you’ll be waiting a long time. If you’re waiting for confirmation, forget it. Just do your thing, and make sure it’s the best that you can possibly do.

Fail with purpose.

Being willing and able to fail more than anyone else will allow you to get further in life. Not because you’re better than others, but because of your ability to learn from all of the mistakes. It’s good to accomplish goals. However we don’t really learn too much from succeeding. We think nothing needs to be improved with a bunch of consecutive wins.

When you fail, you know instantly that something went wrong, and it might have to do with your approach. Even still, failing is not simply it. You have to learn something you didn’t know, or might have forgotten about, after the fact. Than implement it into your next attempt in order for failure to be turned into a source of motivation and a formula for success. Let’s look forward to failing more and learning from it, to have better results in the near future.

Okay I’m over it (Impatient).

Lately it has been my goal to fail as often as possible, and more than anyone I know. Lately I’ve been getting my wish granted. Now I’m wondering what all of this is supposed to be teaching me? Am I learning how to persist? Will this all make me stronger?

Does this mch failure and hardship make you appreciate the blessings even more than you normally would? Is my intelligence increasing? Am I actually learning from all of these mistakes?

Whatever the case may be, I hope that I begin to win and succeed more often over the next 365 days, because losing hurts, and I’m tired of losing. I’m impatient, and anxious so my view is not always as clear as it should be.

For self….

You don’t have to know exactly who you are to succeed, but you do have to know large parts of who you are.

It’s okay to ask yourself questions.
Explore the depths of your own mind.
Experiment with different habits, tricks, and ideas.

Figure yourself out.
The more you experience, the more you inner self will show.

Adaptability

Your ability to adapt is everything. If you can’t blend, don’t try to pretend. Learn the art of becoming your surroundings.

When in a business setting, make sure it seems as though you belong there. Do what they do. Talk their talk. Walk their walk. Not to be a copy cat. Not because your jealous and want to try and fit in. Do it because you are a professional. Do it because you know that is it one of the many ways to succeed and make it to the top of your industry.

Sometimes it’s not a bad thing to fit in. At least until you secure the next level of greatness.

work on your dreams

People are not going to support you until you support yourself. Even  than, nobody is going to do the work for you. If you have a dream, it’s yours. It belongs to you. You are the one responsible making it become a reality. Not anybody else.

Learn to take responsibility for what’s yours. Stop focusing so much on other people’s lives and progress. It distracts you from becoming the very best you can be. Look yourself in the mirror and let it be known out loud, “I will succeed, I will believe, and become everything I want to be”. After you declare it, get out into the world and obtain it. Don’t worry about what others would think. Pretend you are the only one who speaks your language and put in work.

Do it for the glory, and love, not the money and materials.

Are you failing or learning?

We hate failing on any level. Why? Because most of us had to enroll into school, and that is where it began. As children it becomes a game of perfection. Make this letter, painting, circle, and test score perfect or you are different. Different is bad. Bad is not good.

Stay on track. Don’t day dream, it will make you stupid. As we grow older, we become more intelligent based off of real world experience and self observations. Now we know that the game is a fluke and that we can’t possibly learn on the highest level through this system.

By now it’s already too late. We have played the game for too long and it has become similar to the jumanji effect. (watch the movie jumanji if you’re lost). Everything they have taught us is never good enough unless it’s within a certain number range.

What does this do to us as people? As creatives? It makes us afraid to test. It makes us sweat. We hesitate to try. Failure in our minds means punishment, and alienation. You can not learn as much if everything you make is perfect, but that doesn’t mean you should try to do shitty work on purpose.

It’s a terrible paradox that school systems allow us to remember and rely on.

Fail. Fail with intentions of taking lessons from that failures. Do your very best in all that you do, but don’t be alarmed when you fail. Be informed.

The man or woman who fails the most, will eventually begin to succeed the most.

You will have doubts.

When in doubt:

Succeed to the best of your ability.

Stay brave.

Work Hard.

Work smart.

Take no bullshit.

Give back.

Be aware.

Be honest.

Mind your own business.

Go the extra mile.

Use your vision.

Stay hungry.

Don’t settle.

Be grateful.

Soak it in.

Remember your objective.

Put your best foot forward.

Look to this list when things become cloudy. If you get off track or lose a step, this is a great way to get back to the top spot. Some folks get lost and lose it all after gaining serious momentum. Other times we let success get to our heads and become ego-driven monsters. Even if you do this list can be a big helper.

One I forgot to add to the list: initiate.

Great at one Mediocre at many

You can succeed at anything you want in life. All that takes is a little practice and a tiny bit of patience.

The trick is not to be able to succeed at everything but to become great at one or two things.

Being great at one or two things allows you more time to master the craft. More time to become known by others for that thing you choose to become great at. You will than become the best you instead of the most mediocre you.

Why do you think the specialists of this world do so well?

Insure Your Life

I came across a life insurance ad this morning and thought I’d take a stab at it.

Life Insurance: State regulation, Solvency, Benefit Riders, Monthly premiums, Payment options, Non forfeiture, Surrender charges, Annuities, Life with period certain, Waivers, Graded premium, Modified life, Flexible Premium policies, etc.

It is a very complicated process when you look at the details.

Here’s the thing about your life, you need to be free. You need to be as happy as possible.  You need to succeed. You need to survive and then thrive. There is no ticket you can by  for that. You can not grow a vegetable that if you eat it will give you everything you want out of life.

Reality check: YOU HAVE TO INSURE YOUR OWN LIFE BY WORKING HARD!

Get up early. Stay up late. Bust your ass in between that time. Your legacy and hard work is the only insurance to solidify success for you. Otherwise you can not buy it from anywhere in the world. You have to work to insure that things get done and you end up where you want to be.
